LockWood 110/40: How do i pick this?

G'day was jsut wondering what tool i need to use to pick the lockwood 110/40 i ve ahd no luck so far and really wanna get this one outta the way. Also where is the security Pin in this one if anyone knows.

This lock is made in China for and on behalf of Lockwood Australia. It has no security pins (mushrooms or spools) the pin sizes and diameters are similar to the Lockwood 232 padlocks.

There is a pick plate at the rear of the plug to prevent latch slipping..

Light tension turning clockwise and using a hook pick for SPP will work perfectly. You can also use a rake, but dont rake too quickly.

This version is a 5 pin tumbler and the tolerances are not fine. It is not difficult.

I tried raking slow and using a hook, didn't work i used alot of my other picks as well, same result.

I only once got it to turn the lock hole a little to the right but that didn't do anything what so ever.

I tried applying little tension then alot of tension, no good.

Im really not sure what to do.

Please i need some help with this one

hey global, i thought the small lockwood padlocks did have a spool pin in them?


and nathan, SPP is single pin picking, you will be best off with a small hook pick like the on 5th down on the link

If when i am picking the lock turns a little does that mean i hit the security pin and have to start again or that i am almost there?

if it does have security pins which i think it might, if you have picked the lock except the spool pin the plug will turn a little bit, to find out which one is the spool while the plug is turned after you have picked all the pins but the spool, use your pick to feel the pins to see which top pin is jambed.
if it doesnt make any sense its because im really tired.

hmmm still same porblem, i can get the plug to move very easily now. But once i reach that stage i am lost. is it a bad thing that the plug moves?
