Master lock 40 dissassembly help

I know it is a cheap lock, but I have several I would like to try rekeying into a set. There is another post about them that mentions cutting one up, but it never says where to cut. I am assuming they are talking about the raised portion on the back behind the cylinder. I'll hack it to bits if it comes to that just to see the guts, but I figured before I do I should ask what holds the plug in? Is it like the laminated locks where it is held in with the crimp at the back, because if so I would like to pull the plug out then try to shim it and replace the plug with the new pins. Any help is most appreciated.

I think you have to cut the circumference (if you want "full access.") You might want to wait for someone to confirm that though.

Thanks for clearing up how I could cut it. Have you ever done this to one before?

Personally no. There was an old thread that I can't seem to find again to confirm it that had two disc locks disassembled. I've talked about a cutaway of a Brinks R70 a fellow lock picker made, and if I recall correctly that's how he did it.
