Security pins in Citadel disc lock?

Postby woodsy_1984 » 18 Jun 2008 4:48

Looking at getting into this hobbie, im not gonna ask a load of newbie question but one question would be on a citadel disc lock is there a security pin, or me just being rubbish at picking still, did a cheap lock from a DIY centre in about 30 mins with just a paper clip, sorted myself some better bits ad thought id have a do at this lock and its not happening :!:

Never tried a citadel...but i would think you'd just pick it with a rake or hook like any other lock. You might try getting an actual pick set instead of using paper clips. While it's good to improvise, certain locks aren't going to respond nearly as well and thus you'd need every advantage you could get.

i have just purchased a 14 peice lock pick set so hopefully i'll be having many frustrating hours scratching my head soon, in the mean time i have printed some templates and might get round to making my self a set, thanks for the replay though
