Chubb 4LC photos anyone?

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

Chubb 4LC photos anyone?

Postby NickBristol » 9 Aug 2008 14:06

This is a bit of a long shot - but does anyone happen to have photos of a Chubb 4LC rim cylinder being stripped down to its bare bones?

I need it for an insurance company report after a 'locksmith' from a double-glazing company working for Zurich insurers replaced one with a 5-pin ERA, and didn't do up the retaining screws leaving the cylinder (almost) hanging from the door. Apparently the double-glazing bloke reported it as a like-for-like replacement which to me it blatantly isn't. Zurich got him on the phone when the customer complained, apparently "ERA are as good as anything on the market"!!

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful - I used my last one on the door above and need to do a report before I can get hold of more. Photos would only be used for this report and not posted anywhere else, unless you choose to post them here :D

Thanks, Nick
