I remember a while back reading an article that had said the city of San Francisco was going to demolish the great prison alctraz for something I was reading too carefully, but suppose they demolish it and possibly sell the cell (lol sell the cell) door locks. I would imagine they are warded locks, but I can't help but have my doubts. I would love to have more information on such things, but unfortunately have been there only once when I was 10. If anyone has any information on these I would be much obliged. thanx

Massive keys. That's the main thing. Even the warded locks in there are so huge you would find it difficult to make something that big to throw the bolt if you were making things out of stuff scrounged inside.

(so i've .. heard :) )

It sure would be interesting to see I agree.

I hope they dont get rid of it, it would make a great resort with a bit of DIY. You know the asking price by the way? Could be a seriously good investment.

:D

For the record, that proposal went to the voters and failed with 72% against.

Nonetheless, I think we should see if DB wants to get locked in there and pick his way out! THAT would bring some press to LP101!
