Chicago cabinet locks

I need to disassemble a chicago cabinet lock on an old fire safe that was bought by a family member minus the keys. it was locked in, but i picked it out , and found a reasonably close blank. However i cant disassemble it and make a key...because i cant take out the cylinder. i just have no idea how to do it.

lots of these little jobs the answer is to just replace the lock with another that will fit the application, its usually cheaper.

Provided the blank fits the keyway well enough, have you considered trying to impression the lock?
