Master ProSeries 6121

I am fairly new to picking and am attempting a new Master ProSeries 6121. I am having very little luck with it.

I am wondering if this lock is too difficult for a beginner like myself. I can pick about 75 percent of padlocks I run across but have never been able to open a deadbolt on a front door.

Is there something about this lock I don't know? Or am i just out of my league?

Well, the lock in question has 5 spool pins in it I believe, and if you are someone who is fairly new to lockpicking, I would say try a padlock with only 1 spool pin in it, or repin the padlock with 4 new driver pins. Spool pins aren't that hard, once you get the hang of them, but at first its going to be a big challenge to get it open with 5 of them.

A deadbolt should be similar to a padlock. You might need a bit less tension, because there is no spring force to overcome.

Of course you first remove the lock from the door so you can hold it in your hand ?

Picking locks installed on doors is a bad idea, you can bugger up the lock so it won't work.
The rule is if the lock is in use, don't pick it.
