The plug gives a bit of resistance when you turn it with the key, so I know I should be using more torque than usual... I just can't seem to figure out the right amount. My usual trick of oversetting all the pins, counting the clicks and applying just enough torque to get the first one set is fine... but I can't get any pins setting properly after that. I've tried upping the torque very slightly and going over the other pins, and repeating that process, which usually works like a charm, but this thing is just too stiff for that to really work properly.

The only explanation I can come up with is that it's almost brand new and the tolerances are very low... that, coupled with the fact that I can't vary the torque by tiny amounts because of the stiffness of the plug, is making this thing a bit of a nightmare. I think I need to lube it or something, but I haven't got anything handy lying around.
Anyone else had similar problems with these locks (or any other padlocks, for that matter)?
