Hi there ive recently been bitten by the picking bug ive been practicing spp on a couple of padlocks i bought and i found this lock in our work shop at home and wondered if any one could give me some info on it. Ive searched the forum and googled it but with no success. I just wanted to know if it had and security pin's or if any one knew of an exploded diagram of it. just wanted to know about this before i spend to much time picking it because mabey its a bit above my skill level. As far as i can see its a five pin lock so im thinking it doesnt have any security features. The key has aba security locks wolverhampton written on it.
finally i fully understand the nature of the site and totally understand if you are unable to answer my questions due to me being such a new member
I'm not familiar with ABA locks, but judging by the key bitting, the quality of the key, and the sort of locks they sell (www.abalocks.com) I would say that this is a nice lock to pick for a beginner. If you can't get it at first ,don't worry, you might want to start with 3 or 4 pin locks first, but this should be a nice beginner 5 pin lock as far as I can tell
thanks for that. how would i go about removing the pins? ive been picking it with my hook and get about 3 pins set then struggle haha but im determined
If you want to make it repinnable follow instructions:
1: Dismantle cylinder via circlip on the rear 2: Insert key, turn 90 degrees and extract the plug 3: Use a hardened steel rod to punch out the stack caps 4: Tap the holes 5: Replace wit hgrub screws
Easy peasy
What a load of old BiLocks!!!!
