That was one massive door!

What is the purpose? Bomb shelter?
The tiny padlock used to lock it looks embarrassing put next to the door
Once upon a time, there was a lovely little sausage called `Baldrick', and it lived happily ever after.

It definatly has the look of a door built to resist nearby massive blast. I think its from the second world war, probably protecting some generals or other rear eschelon rock stars.

I'm gonna guess a prison, since the other post is regarding Folger Adam and Southern Steel hardware.

You're gonna need much more than just that one can of WD-40

You know, from your name I'd chalk up your reply to squelchtone as a language barrier, but something tells me you have a really good command of the English language..

So,

Please, play nice with our other members. It was just a guess.
Instead of a snippy reply, you could of just said what that door is for..

I'm also guessing blast type door on a bunker for a few reasons...

Reminds me of some of the bunkers around the gun emplacements that surround the Golden Gate. They have mostly been welded shut to keep folks out. Looks like there may be seepage on the left side, so perhaps somewhere with water. Doesn't look like a bulkhead, not part of a dam. Pretty old, considering the wiring for the light. I'd also guess military, perhaps WWII or older. Perhaps something along the Caribbean coast?
It's a good day when I learn something new.
