Throwing out locks

Postby lockrite » 1 Jul 2009 1:26

In some ways I wish that I had joined this site earlier.
I have just thrown out three bin loads of locks.
Yep thay went to the scrap heap
Most were common everyday locks.
some were almost new and just removed because new locks were required.
What I threw out ranged from your everyday common door cylinder or lockset to such things as abloy prodisk/ proteck with keys, bilock,
chubb etc. along with many automotive locks. Some included Rolls Royce and Bentley ignition locks totally complete and with keys.
Of course there were your every day locks for GM Ford Mazda Toyota etc.

Anyway I'm still in the process of cleaning up.
Most of it just junk
Honestly who wants old security door locks, cylinders, padlocks etc.
Just crap I have ripped off doors.
Just rubbish to me.

Well not really 'high security'
After all they are only padlocks but still use the same keying system as more secure locks.
Good for practice
If you want them you can have them.
I'm only going to scrape them.

Now how do I get them to you?
I'm not prepared to pay for shipping for what to me is nothing more than scrap.

I have
4 245 style padlocks
1 530 stlye cylinder ... used in knobsets
2 570 style cylinders....used in motice locks
3 201 style cylinders ...common nightlatch cylinder

All seem to be keyed alike.
Well they all work from one key.
Dont know if that is a master key or not.

The locks are yours.

Have fun with them !!

Of course as you are most probably already aware of Bilock is used on many military sites.
A bit of practice will give you a legs up.
