MTL MT5+ Euro Cutaway

Postby SnowyBoy » 22 Jul 2009 9:26

This came in the post this morning by the skin of its teeth, and a few other locks. The bag arrived split!! Fortunately everything is there safe so I went ahead and cut it away.

Needs finishing off, sanding down, polish etc. I'm just glad it went ok

Awesome job, SnowyBoy. If you have an extra key you can also file down the key at the Alpha spring so that the key is cutaway, too. Of course, this would mean you could only insert it one way, but it is very helpful for seeing how it works.

Very nice.

I didn't know that the MT5 was available in the UK, at least not on a commercial basis. Where did you get it, if you don't mind me asking.

Regards, Freddie.

Thanks lads :)

It's pretty much finished now. I'm not doing much more to it. I'll be selling it once I get a few more and use this as a pattern. I also added two more cuts (took me a week to convince myself it wasn't going to mess the lock up) it now shows all the sliders through the pin side;)

I would like to tell you where I got it, but I'm not sure the guy who sent it to me would want it broadcasted. Sorry dude. But I got this lock and a few others as payment to cut a double euro MT5+ for him (quite possibly the only one in the world like it). I must admit, it was a totally awsome cutaway on both sides. Each side is keyed differently too.

I might add that I am looking for more MT5's, but they HAVE to be the +plus+ (with the sliders).

Cheers :)

This cutaway is absolutely gorgeous! The views of the sliders/sidebar and the alpha spring were definitely worth the risk. Ace fricking job! :-D
