Semi circle lock(curved key)

Hello, my name is Valentine! I reside in the US, i moved here from Russia. I have been picking locks since i found interest in it since i was younger. It's almost like a weird fetish for small metal contraptions really.. Something about the small intricate pieces that facinate me as well as the challenge of opening them.

For my first question, i wanted to know the name of this lock. I know the drill.. If its a high security lock then the vets are not able to speak of it.. I just happen to know nothing of this lock so i figured id try anyways.

The lock is like a tubular lock, but only half... its a semi circle key hole. The key to these locks is like a normal key, but bent into a tubular semi circle shape. The lock looks like the top left on this website: http://www.kdlock.com/index_products.htm ( you can click on it for more images)


ANYhow, i was wondering what the name of these locks are or if there are any special lingos for them, and also would the Disc detainer pick work on this lock? (http://www.uklockpickers.co.uk/oscommer ... b2gamamu20)

They are rotating disc detainer locks, Abloy and ABUS are probably the best known ones. Picking them requires special tools and much time and effort and it is considered advanced material on this forum, so no public discussion about picking them.

I have an Abloy padlock that fits the bill for this. One side it says Abloy and the other side says The Enforcer. Pretty heavy duty lock and from what I can see its a disc detainer lock however since the key is a semicircle the normal disc detainer wont work on it. Probably have to make specialized tools for it
