looking at that key you should be able to pick that with anything you can get in the keyway

i reckon light tension and a single rake from back to front should do it

That is one "crazy" biting to that key. (and I do mean "one" biting)  A good sneeze would rattle that bugger open..

The kryptonie I have is badass. Here is what's in there:

Yours is a 4 pinner and looks much more basic, but looks can be deceiving. It still might have a similar arrangement, although since yours isn't an IC core there isn't really any way to find out. Like it's been said though, with a key bitting like that it doesn't matter what's in there. Put any pick in flat against the pins, and push down until the plug turns.

Actually, that is no where near the 9 biting that one would see on a bump key...

And if I bought that lock to use, I would return it to the store and get another.

I know this post is old, but I acquired one of the Kryptonite padlocks over the weekend and decided to type it in to the search engine here. I believe they're cheap Chinese made locks. The company it's self, is American and mainly deals in bike lock/anti-theft contraptions, etc.

Obviously nothing much to them. It SPPed faster than a Master 3 and three swipes and a jiggle from my new bogota and it popped right open. I don't use rakes very often, but that bogota might as well be a universal key. It's opened just about everything I have and I know my raking techniques aren't anywhere near perfect.

Wow, taking a second look at that key... it looks just like a bump key.

The bitting on the key that came with the Kryptonite I acquired was much more varied.

I found the tension of some padlocks felt heavy because I was fighting the return spring. Don't let that fool you, and look for the binding pins to feel out your tension.

I beg to differ with this statement. It seems Kryptonite used to make some pretty heavy duty locks; although they don't make them anymore. Currently this lock http://www.amazon.com/Kryptonite-Heavy- ... 756&sr=8-2 is the bane of my existence, I have yet to pick it. As you can see amazon is getting rid of them for $7 a crack and I would highly recommend picking one up. They feature hardened steel shackle, removable cylinder (6 pin: 5 spool drivers + 1 normal; 5 serrated key pins + 1 normal), and the thing weighs as much as my S&G 8077, overall I am pretty impressed with it. I would like to know if anyone else has had similar difficulty with this lock?

Sorry for the double post. Just discovered one of the serrated pins is also an anti-drill pin, if anyone cares.
