So I bought one of these fine padlocks and it came with a default 25-0 combination due to the seller forgetting to change it for me. Now, I looked up the instructions and it appears I need a change key. Does anyone know where I can get one of these?

Josh, the 8088 I believe also uses the 8077 change key. The part number for that is #8077-043-001 there is also a thread on this site somewhere where this was discussed. I remember Unlisted had a picture of a change key for it. They are not hard to make, I have never made one though, I don't have alot of experience with the high dollar combo locks.

I got it for $9 on eBay. I did read the horror story about messing up the change and having the window close, so I would hate to repeat that experience.

There is actually a way on that model to change the combo if the combo isn't known, It requires a different key, but the window has to be open. Also, once it's closed and you don't know the combo, there are no replacement parts and supposedly no way to drill and plug your hole in a way that wouldn't make it vulnerable to an attack, so basically, it's garbage or a paperweight. What did you pay for it? Seems there are not many available anymore, I think they quit making them actually.

$9 including shipping. Like I said, the combo is 25/0 right now, but if I could find a reliable way to change it I would.
