Need Springs becuse of a newbie mistake

Postby skylar » 20 Jul 2010 9:12

so I got my first removable core pad lock that I could not pick with all of the pins in, so I decided to take the core out and noticed that there where a series of holes in the bottom. I thought great now I can take out some pins and try again. I put the key in turned it to 180 dropped out two pins and turned it back to 0. This is when all my trouble started. The driver pins and some spring dropped into the cylinder. I tried to turn the key with no luck. Turning the key made everything worse.

I got it all disassembled but I destroyed two springs in the process.

Where can I buy new springs and driver pins?

I've been wondering this myself as well. Figured worse case scenario I can try to find old locks to take them out of and swap around as necessary, but this would be less than ideal. I did the same thing as you and felt very stupid very quickly :)

PM me with a mailing address and I will see if I can find an extra spring or two.
