hi friends, here is a simple solution/s (a locksmith can) to protect your American padlock/s against an opening by a bypass tool. this sure helps. regards

I had no idea that this was possible. I thought that American was known for making pretty decent padlocks.

That is a genius idea man...

But if someone who understood locks either saw the key for the lock OR understood the significance of the marks on the bump key they attempted to use, said bump key could be modified in the manner you have done on the operating keys for the padlocks...

I don't think is meant to prevent picking or bumping. It's meant to prevent a very specific attack where you slide a long hook all the way to the back and release the latch without rotating the cylinder.
