Anyone know the lock?

Postby Ffojt » 23 May 2011 12:12

Hi,

I recently bought an old door lock at a thrift shop. I dont know what kind it is, but its definitly old. I took some pictures of it.

This is the lock with the key next to it: http://imageshack.us/f/9/lsognkkel.jpg/

This is the key: http://imageshack.us/f/221/nkkelm.jpg/

These are some photos of the lock from behing and underneath:http://imageshack.us/f/268/overblikkls2.jpg/

And these pictures are of the key being turned. Notice the grey square. Thats attached to the locking bolt. When the key is turned, the yellow(-ish) discs are lifted until there is room for the grey square to move, then its pushed one notch forward:
http://imageshack.us/f/121/lsmednkkel1.jpg/ Key inserted, lock unlocked

http://imageshack.us/f/402/lsmednkkel1halv.jpg/ Key turned a quarter circle. The yellow discs have been lifted, and the grey square is movin between them.

http://imageshack.us/f/15/lsmednkkel2.jpg/ Here they has been turned halfway round. The lock is semi-locked. The key can not be removed.

http://imageshack.us/f/684/lsmednkkel2halv.jpg/ Key turned three quarters. Once again between the yellow discs.

http://imageshack.us/f/695/lsmednkkel3.jpg/ Lock fully locked. Key has been turned one full round and can be removed.

That was a lot of pictures, but I hope it means someone can identify it. I would love to find out some more about it!

The type is called "double-bit" or "double-bitted", and yes, it could have been made e.g. by CISA, see e.g. p.317ff here: http://cisa.ingersollrand.com/EN/downlo ... ature.aspx
Or: http://www.mottura.it/en
