Abloy prices

Postby HayabusaP226 » 25 Aug 2011 3:13

I love Abloy , but they are crazy expensive (and pretty much impossible to find) here in Canada , and also in the USA as well , but I wonder how much they are cost in Europe , and hell - in Finland

I'm talking specifically about their deadbolts \ Protec retrofit cylinder and the big padlocks such as the 340, 350 and 362 , any idea how much they cost over there ?

Are there any European \ Scandinavian locksmith here in this forum who sell Abloys for a decent price ?

Thanks 8)

They are alot cheaper in Finland. I was looking for the old style 3020 padlocks. Local dealers said $100-140 EACH. I talked to a guy in Finland that had some for 22 Euros (about $30) each.

Sorry for my ignorance , to which current model the 3020 is equivalent ? the 320 ?

Anyway , I think you are lucky you even found some dealer in Canada who actually carry Abloys in stock
When I looked for Abloy , there were only bums who had literally nothing in stock and just tried to Medeco and MulT instead , and for insane prices

The sad things they were official Abloy Protec dealers according to Abloy website

Hi, Im the guy! :P
Everything is expencive in Finland (exept maybe PL3020).
They don´t sell Protec so much here. Older locks and mid security use Classic, new houses have Exec or Sento. I called a locksmithshop about something else, and got a quote for you: Abloy Protec cylinder and two keys, U-fit-it, 160 euros.
PL340 Classic, 55 euros...
This is one of the cheapest net shops:

I do have some extra Abloy locks, but you need something cool to trade. No cash deals. PM me.

Try this seller on eBay. They usually have alot of Abloy stuff. Prices range from okay to slightly expensive, but still cheaper than most stores.

Thanks for fixing that 3020 typo lol. Its around that time of the morning.

And yea, I was chatting on KP with a guy that knows or is involved somehow with the company, so that is why I recommended them. Prices are also quite good.

, sound pretty funny that Abloy also such expensive inside Finland as well , but I guess it does make sense for them to screw the locals as they are probably a have pretty much a monopoly in Finland , aren't they ?

I wonder if MTL also raping with their prices in Israel as well , that would funny

Another funny thing is that the provincial hydro company here using Abloy 330's on all of the street electrical boxes , I'm pretty sure they aren't buying them at 50$ a piece

I remember a couple of month ago I saw someone on eBay from the UK unloading 362 and 350 Protec for good prices , so I wonder how much are they in the UK as well

We are an Abloy dealer in Ontario, and I can get you a price on what ever you need, but yes, they are expensive.

This one is not for sale:

That lock is so cool...
I offered 100 euros on a Finnish net auction, but the seller wanted 200. He said he "had a couple, but is not selling the ones with small number". They´re individually numbered.
Is it really made of gold, or is it just golden colour? -Any stampings indicating the metal?

As I recall someone who owns one once told me they are gold plated. Obviously if it were solid instead of plated the thing would cost many thousands.

They're very cool though. I've been eyeing the ones for sale; I just haven't been able to justify the purchase to myself. Yet.
