are there any unpickable locks?

Are there any locks out there that are truly unpickable? Not talking about bumping or any bypass methods, but locks that to this day haven't been picked even once even by accident.

Theorically everything fails at a certain point, in a way or another, though in practice this limit lie in the economically counterproductive or in smaller words, not worth it.

Of the publicly accessible locks (not going into secret URSS locks and other things we've seen just in a couple pictures) I think Abloy Protec PL362 is one of those which I'm not aware of having been picked and Abloy would probably pay some money to anybody opening their lock without its intended key.

Yes, any lock with no external access is unpickable as there is no exposed interface to attempt to manipulate...

I.E. the state of the lock is controlled only from inside the door...

but then you can't get into the safe/room/whatever the lock is on unless there is someone always inside. and i'm not talking about whether it's possible to make an unpickable lock but whether or not any locks are out there that haven't been picked just so future posters here know. I saw the old threads with long arguments on whether locks can be unpickable or not

yes, I do remember seeing that a while ago in a Make magazine. It looked pretty interesting actually. But anyone withing hearing distance would know the code or anyone that watches from far off.

Oh you mean just the same as someone can impression your key in 1 second when you're not looking??

true, but the average person doesn't know how to make a key for the impressioning or carry around the putty (or just isn't innovative enough to use the softside of their forarm to get the shape). And even if they did, it would take so much more work that to just walk up and knock.
