My first cutaway lock

This was done with a dremel and a metal cutting disk. I plan on the next revision to be that much better.
Let me know what you guys think.

thats a beauty. ill see your nice cutaway and raise you the ugliest kik cutaway known to man. lol, i was so excited to make one i didnt even use the right kind! Still used it to get the hang of picking (with the front pin stack removed). I would close my eyes and try to figure out what stack was in what position, then have a look. it helped. Anyway i like yours a lot more , it looks great. try not to laugh too hard at mine!

Honestly, don't feel too bad, when i say this is my first cutaway lock, its my first PRESENTABLE cutaway lock, i have had 2 previous attempts and one was so full of fail that i stopped after the first cut, and the second one is in rough condition and needs to be cleaned up

clearmoon, how did you deburr your cuts? one of my pin stacks is sort of sticky because i wasnt able to sand down the ridge of metal left from the cut. did you have this issue?

well, i made the cuts as smooth as i could. I then took an extra pick and scrapped the rough edges smooth, taking away the extra bits of metal that would get in the way. I have also found that adding some actually lubricant helps out greatly and the pins are super smooth right now.
