Trouble with 2 padlocks

Hi all
Im having real problems trying to pick these two padlocks does anyone have any experience with them. One is a globemaster 40mm the other is a green jem 38mm.
When i put my tension wrench in them especially the globemaster there is little to no turn in the cylinder of the lock.
There both pretty cheap locks £2.50 each.
Any tips would be appreciated.

I have found that with many cheap locks, applying tension at the bottom of the keyway as usual may cause the plug to just twist out of alignment in the cylinder instead of turning.

Try tensioning from the top of the keyway instead. You may have to cut down a tension wrench for a better fit. Search the forum a bit for "top of keyway tension" to see some examples of this technique.

Alternatively, you may wish to try a forked tension wrench that can apply torque at the top and bottom of the keyway simultaneously. This may help to insure your torque goes to rotating the plug, instead of just moving it.
