Schlage SFIC Keys

Postby kaelanh » 19 Nov 2012 19:59

Hey everyone,

I have a Schlage SFIC Core, B123 Keyway, that I need an additional key for. I currently have 1 operating key, and 1 control key for it and I would like another operating. I bought it off ebay a while back and I contacted the seller, but he bought it used as well. I understand these are retricted so I was hooping that someone on here maybe has the blanks and a punch? I can PM you the code, its 7 pin. I dont mind if you grind off the numbers on it or anything, heck its just a spare anyway. I can send you pictures if you want them of the lock with both keys (operating and control) operating it. i have tried about all that I can think of, and this is my last resort. Thanks everyone!

I believe you can purchase Schlage everest blanks without much hassle online...

Do you just need the blank or you need a copy?
Also if you bring the lock into a locksmith with the keys, most will cut it for you.

I could be mistaken here.

The Schlage SFIC keys are different than normal blanks.

Yeah, averagejoe is correct. The schlage everest standard keyways (C123,C125 etc.) are widely available, however the SFIC (B123,B125,B254?, etc) are restricted to an end user.

Ah I see. I was not aware. I was wondering why it was B and not C. I stand corrected.

@kaelanh:

Sadly your B123 keyway core is end-user restricted...

So it is doubtful anyone with access to the blanks is going to cut one for you...

Even if you had a B235 dealer keyway, any locksmith would be happy to re-key your core to a new combination and issue a new ID card for it but they are contractually forbidden from cutting exiting key combinations even with the lock present without the proper ID card for that bitting...

You are better off buying another lock or using something that isn't restricted. There is no way to get blanks or keys made. They won't even give out samples with keys and all the samples are on the same sample keyway.

If you really want Everest SFIC, I suggest going to the contact page of Schlage and they will forward your info to a local distributor and someone will contact you.

you can also buy them here:
