I wish I had a standard reply to paste here.. this kind of post happens a lot.
Every few weeks or so someone with 1 post asks a question about a lock that is in use that they have a close up photo of. Usually the lock is on a payphone, washing machine, change dispenser, Coke machine, parking meter, or other device which either contains money or provides a service. Please note we usually jump on that person and accuse them of trying to break in somewhere, as you can imagine, a new forum member asking specifics about a high security lock that looks like its in use, can cause many flags to go up, since it is not a basic question a new picker would normally ask.
I'm gonna be real nice for a minute and tell you all about it. That's an Abloy or Abloy clone made by LAI or Baton, and it looks like the Exec (someone correct me if it isnt) keyway for a disc detainer cam lock. If you're just wanting to know what type of lock that is, then that's the answer. You won't be picking it any time soon, they are straight up unpickable. Normal lock picks won't work in them, they're a totally different animal.
Just as a heads up, we don't talk about disc detainer lock picking, decoding, or drilling in the open forums, that is a lock left best for the experienced members who have access to the Advanced area where we can talk about such things and not accidentally teach someone who stumbles along our thread while doing a google search.
welcome to picking, what's your next question?
