How to open Lowe & Fletcher Cabinet Lock

Postby wlkp » 23 Aug 2013 22:37

Good day
I have a Lowe & Fletcher Cabinet lock model 5870 Image
I would like some advise as to how I can go about getting access to the core. I am looking at the two studs just above the screw holes on either side of the base and considering drilling them as they look like the obvious way but I know some instances where the side of the barrel is drilled and a locking pin is depressed allowing the core to be removed. I don't know if that is the case with this one. Some advise please.

Stick a pick in the lock toward the back and pull the retainer wafer. Lock has to be in the unlocked position.
