I got a Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. pad lock. This one came with a key and works very smoothly. It also says right on it "Lubricate with Graphite". Guess some one took their advice over the years.
The second lock is the reason I went back today. It is an AdLake rail road swich padlock. Marked NYCS (New York Central System) on the back. This is my first railroad lock and I'm super excited about it. It is a little rough, the spring for the keyhole cover is busted. That's why there's that long U-shaped scratch on the front of it and why the door doesn't snap shut on its own. But I still love it. It picked open fairly easily and I can't wait to track down some thicker brass stock so that I can make a key for it.
