I found this "Swiss Made" magnetic padlocks. Some experimental pictures: I have no information about this padlock. I saw only a picture in "High-Security Mechanical Locks" (S. 443) But that's it. Does anyone have more information about this lock? I would appreciate any bit of information! I'd like to make a cutaway, but... Thanks from Switzerland

The lock uses 4 tilting pins.
Please have a look at the patent US3948068. It is not exactly the Sima magnetic padlock, but the same principle. The tilting pins are arranged in aother way in the Sima lock.

Nice work; these have interested me since picking up a similar Japanese magnetic padlock (PunchLock) a while back. Good to see a shot of the guts.

Hey kilae, the key is a work of art! Those magnets with their predrilled positions are a template for a "pick". Have you tired to move one at a time? What does it feel like when just one pin is unpicked? Cheers

Hi femurat, yeah the key looks nice. 3 x 7 and 1 x 8 positions. You can feel something, but it's hard. You must pull very softly, because they bind in false position. And you don't know which is correct. But I'll learn. You can play with it, when we meet us next time. I have enough padlocks.
