I'd like to see how they retain the cam lock inside the padlock body.. I see some caps on the side of the padlock, perhaps for set screws while the shackle is open and out of the way?
EDIT/Update: I found a photo of how they retain the cam lock cylinder inside. I'm assuming there is something inside that uses the flats of the cam lock to keep it from free spinning inside the padlock body, and the bottom has a screw in retainer that I'm pretty sure is kept from being screwed out by a set screw a-la Abloy's padlock design, where you can only access it when the shackle is up.

I wonder what is on the cam end of things that interacts with the inner locking bits of the lock, and how does it attach to the plug, same screw that is used to keep a cam attached? clever design.
/end edit.
It's funny they play up how virtually pick proof the Medeco is but for the Abloy Protec cylinder option they only mention how it's good in outdoor environments.. (look in the Lock Cylinder Info tab)
interesting find averagejoe!
