Homemade combo lock

Postby kwoswalt99- » 11 May 2015 19:30

Hello,
I made this lock for fun, and I really like it. It sits on my desk, and I frequently open it for fun. I was hoping that maybe I could practice manipulation on it, but it doesn't operate smoothly enough. One of the problems I didn't think of, was that it sometimes sticks a little when the humidity is higher. I was going to put numbers on the dial, but it turns out that I'm not good enough at wood burning. I originally intended for it to have a certain combination, and to only have ten numbers, but I cut the gates wrong, and the combination turned out to be a whole bunch of decimals. The workmanship is not very good, but it doesn't look too bad I guess.
