My Habitats for Humanities haul

Postby streak » 10 Aug 2015 19:16

I popped past there last week.
Did a whole lot better than the first time I went past.

In case the makes don't come out in the picture there is Schlage, Kwikset, Defiant, Fortress, BHP, N and a few other with no markings.
Can anyone tell me something about the others? All but the Schlage, Kwikset and defiant?
I have each a quick Bogota in store to make sure they did not open too easily.
So far all of them are proving to be quite a challenge for me.
The Kwikset will not rake unless I set the binding pins I can feel first. Once I Set two of them I cant seem to get others to bind.
It looks like an older Kwikset with an interesting keyway.

I'll wait a few months and visit them again, but only if I have managed to pick at least half of these.

My best score from them was 3 Sargent locking hand set's each with a LA Key way for $5.00 each (with all the hardware  )

But that's a nice haul you got there, good luck with all that picking :)

My best day at H4H yielded a Schlage 9500 series mortise chassis, 2 older Russwin RU4 keyway 6 pin cylinders, an old-school Master dial padlock (pre-false gates :)), a Best core, and a Schlage A-series lever for my back door, with Everest cylinder.

Good luck on the picking; you'll take 'em down, I'm sure.
