Bit of a Haul from local Locksmith

Postby GWiens2001 » 20 Aug 2015 17:56

My favorite locksmith shop is moving location, and is paring things down a little. So some stuff came my way. :D

A couple hundred blanks for my key board:

Some loose locks, most without keys. More still in the car, but will keep them there for when I am bored.

Some of which are Mul-T-Lock Interactive. Here are three handles/levers and a KIK (five or six mortises and rim cylinders still in the car).

A couple SFIC drawer locks (Already picked one to operating.

And yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. They are KeyMark keyways. Too bad no keys. They said they may find them during the move, and will set them aside for me if they do.

Image

A couple tubular vending style locks in bolt retainers.

Oh... did I forget these?

The 787 that is missing from the American board was given to me a while back.

Anyway, that seems like a great deal from some GREAT locksmith friends!

Dang, maybe I should visit a locksmith sometime. Did you get a 787 or a 748, because the one on the board looks like a 748.

Gordon, I'm very happy for your haul! It's nice to have all those locks on their original displays. Now you need to find an adequate place to expose them. A small museum in the house corridor?

Cheers :)

Our distributor gave us multiples of those key display boards along with a few others. We kept one set for display and tossed the others in the dumpster. That was before I knew that people might actually want this stuff. A few weeks ago a supplier stopped by with displays of Schlage and Master residential door locks so I gave those to a guy who likes to pick locks.
