help identifying cam lock

Trying to find out manufacturer and possibly code series for this cam lock. Codes I have are 270 & 120, Hafele key Ilco 1670 is a great fit. Unusual feature is a small hole in the face that is blocked by silver coloured wafers, the rest being brass wafers. Extremely well constructed for a wafer lock.

I know that, but it isn't in any of my catalogs.

I'll admit it's got me stumped....I spent two hours last night checking different sites online. theres plenty of removable core wafer locks out there that have a probe hole for core removal, but they are all at the edge.

My advice is to post a picture on Locksmith Community or ClearStar and hope Seth Pehr weighs in. He's pretty much the guru of utility locks. Helped me out a few times with less common CL series and such.

I'm not on ClearStar but have posted already on Locksmith Community. I know Seth is on there so I am hoping he will know. I've been doing this for going on 35 years and this one has me stumped. I have no problem making a key but my curiosity won't let me not know who makes it. I can tell it isn't Chinese, it is substantial and the castings and platings are very similar to Steelcase.

I really thought I had something for you with Cam Lock Systems, but their key, ilco #1631 looks like the opposite of yours

I found something with a similar key & a hole in the front. Made by Richelieu Hardware
the glass door lock has a similar hole in the face

Richelieu uses a Chinese made lock, also sold as Armstrong and a few others. Their locks are also bright chrome, this is finished like a Steelcase. We buy a lot from them as they are local here in Orlando.

Never really dealt with Camlock Systems. It was a good try, thanks for your input.
