In one of my other posts I explained how I crack open these locks (posted in This Old Lock forum). Today I thought I'd show you how I used both broken locks to make on good one and make a working key. Let me be up front " My name is Gantry, and I'm a noob" I have used info. and tricks I've found out on the web and used the best ones that work for me, so thank you to all you other pickers. Enough rambling...
The 1st. picture is the 2 locks crack open and parts removed

Here you can see some of the broken springs

So I took the good springs from both locks to get 6 good ones and arranged them to make an interesting bidding.

I then used my "impression pick" to get the bidding so that I could make a key.

And finely put the lock back together again (after having made a working key. I'm showing the side of the lock because once you disassemble the it had to get the seams back together as they where from the factory, this is the best I've done...

I know you "pro's" probably know all this but I'm hoping this might help some of the other noobs! Gantry
