I have a fair bit of experience of Gerda locks, whilst in theory they have 16 pins, in practice they may have less, particularly if part of a master keyed suite, as they use a system of missing pins rather than master pins for master keying. For straight picking you would need to pick the lock anywhere between 4 anf 8 (two key revolutions) times before the bolt released (depending on how well fitting the door etc. is) There are 4 depths of cut on the key which are easily visable from a fair distance (I refer to them as none, small, mediium and large) and the keys are very easy to make in a modestly equiped workshop so decodeing the lock may well be an option. A serious weakness in the master keying system is that it is possible to work out how to make a master key if you have access to as few as three "normal" keys, even if you only have access to the keys for a few minutes!
