If you were meaning parts of a lever lock, off the top of my head there at least 8 parts,

Can you name them?

A talon is part of the key not the lock so you cant count that as one of the 8.

The talon is the part of the bolt the key makes contact with not part of a key. For confirmation type the word talon into a dictionary site as thats one of its definitions.

I meant key as in youve not named it and its the most important part of the lock,

A talon is a male part, the part on the bolt that the key throws is a female part, the key is the male in this instance hence my suggestion of a talon being on the key,

Either way im not argueing over a lock part as we all now what we are talking about with either definition, i find online dictionarys non technical and often give incorrect definitions, i not fussed which is right.

I wasnt arguing, just pointing out a fact, sorry if it caused offence but your post did look like you were implying the talon was part of a key and not the lock.
