I would imagine it is like a hotel lock and works on a princible of a matrix of balls (i think) and the card will have holes punched in it, i could be way off the mark but i wouldnt have thought for that price it was a swipe system :wink:

It is like those japanese card locks. The keys are basically a card (never seen one being opened)

The keys remind me of a dimple locks key..

Thats all i know.
