I just got my jackknife set in the mail today and i tried it out for a long time on my dad's old padlock i found in his army stuff:(I couldn't get it so i decided to try my front door deadbolt and i got it within 20 seconds. Its a kwickset with 5 pins, so i guess its not much to brag about, well it was my first. If any of you guys have suggestions or something, feel free to email me or IM me or just reply to this

Well, good work. I spent MONTHS p*ssing myself off on my parents front door before I opened it, once. It too was a kwikset.

Hey, a win's a win. You got your first lock, and it happens to be one you've trusted your personal safety with for some time now. Kinda a backhanded win, isn't it?

But don't feel bad. After all this "time in" I still trust my personal safety to my trusty Defiants (Kwikset knockoff). Well, that and my alarm system.

goes to show my safety lies in the hands of a lock that can be easily picked in 20 seconds by a guy on his first day. at least it was me. When my mom saw the set in the mail her first words were "lock picking?! thats for criminals" she doesnt seem to understand im not going to go steal tons of stuff cuz i can open my door

Just explain to her that any place worth robbing would be alarmed.

She has nothing to worry about until you start getting "Alarm Bypass Weekly" in
the mail and skimasks etc in the washing basket in the middle of summer.

come to think of it... "thieves weekly" is simply for light reading...

Hmmm....mabey kwickset should start marketing old padlocks as their security locks. I still cant tell what makes my kwickset deadbolt a securety lock. :lol:
