There is alot of information here. I am suprised by the sterotypes I have learned from the masses. Quality of locks, safes, etc. The search feature is nice but I noticed I really have to be careful what words I select. I seem to get way too many hits for the topics I am interested in. Example. Kwiket or Schalge locks. Or Sentry or Brinks safes. I maybe just need to refine my search or handcuff a few of you down and pick your brain. That is if you don't get out of my cuffs.

I Found It!

Postby Gleamor » 15 Nov 2005 11:26

Not sure what it is that i've found...but here it is.

Some of you have met me at DEFCON thru the years..if so wassup. If you dont know what DEFCON is look it up and notice that each year there has been a lock board and competition going on with increasing popularity.

I've been picking locks, safes, and testing the effectiveness of all manner of security devices for about 18 years now. Residential, Commercial, and Automotive.

Have a nice day unless you've made other plans...

I am glad to find this site. :D

I hope to contribute in the future, once I get my shyness out of the way

Hello all

Postby Bocks » 17 Nov 2005 21:13

Hey everyone. Found out about this site while reading this month's issue of ISSA. Great article about "analog hackers" Mentions this site prominently. Always been interested in locks but never really took the time or put out the effort into picking. Seems like a great time to start. Usually don't post on sites at first till I get my feet wet. Hopefully soon.

I'm new to the forums. Found out about them from a shirt I saw online. This is a great resource.

I've been picking for about 3 years now. Started off as a possible career, but drifted into a hobby once I hit college. I currently study math/computer science, but locks are still a passion of mine.

I'll probably lurk as I don't know how helpful I might be, but I'm happy to be here none the less.

Welcome everyone! Have a look at the FAQ and read through the rules. Enjoy the site 8) .
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!
