Something just occured to me as I was looking the diagram for the ACE lock. Has anyone ever tried to make a Tubular Lock Pick out of the core section of the lock? It already has the proper spacing, all that would be needed is a handle and some way to hold picks in the channels. I am thinking about buying an ACE lock just to try this.

Dont forget the tensioner.

You will find the core too short but worth a try i guess.

I agree, it might take a little bit of modification to work. I have never took apart an ACE so I am just guessing. I think I am going to pick one up anyway just to take it apart to learn more about it.

oh well for quazimoto.... but that diagram did me alot of good. I started tinkering with a tubular lock i have at home and made the mistake of trying to pick it with no knowledge of how they operate... needles to say I was looking for a few pins for a while.

Thanks a bunch!
