I got a job yesterday, the key won't work in the lock.So when i got there the door was unlocked so i whipped out the lock and found a 3g114 with a sticker on it(ABLE LOCKSMITHS 24HR CALLOUT Tel 0795........)and after removing the cap to see the levers mangled with a 10mm drill i noticed the sticker was just covering the hole in the hard plate.
These people should have there hands cut off.....a 10mm drill should do.

I hear alot of things like this going on over there. It is a real shame since it reflects on the good locksmiths out there :x .
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Thats just out of order

This sort of thing reflects badly on all of us.

Did you ask your customer how much she had been charged for the lock, just for curiosity's sake ?

common all over, ive seen as bad as 13mm holes in doors and not just 1 hole.
Fact is that until they curb private mass training by the undertrained themselves then this will worsen.

1st regulate training, then regulate locksmiths then have an arbitary ombudsmen for complaints, something is swiftly required.
