Holy cow, that was the longest stream of consciousness I've ever seen on this forum. :?

I'm glad we've all worked out our differences here. As for any on-topic advice I might offer, have you considered making some samples of each set from templates and trying them out? You may determine very quickly which set is best suited to you.

Just a thought. Don't bite. (Really, only kidding there.)

I too would be interested to know if someone has compared the two. The Majestic set's been highly recommended, but the HPC was given mention in LSS.

I really don't think you can compare the products at all! If I hand you my favorite pick for a certain lock, You might think it is a total piece of junk.

You can't compare apples and oranges!

A pick is a pick.
Pickers are people.

funny stuff DB....lol......I wish that I had a template, that way I could....I make alot of homeade picks, so I can do it pretty easily I think, however they do seem like they have alot of complex cuts..... I have tried to blow up the picture, to get an idea, however, the pics are low quality, so they distort when they are enlarged....Any one have some templates on here? that would be great...or otherwise, I will be waiting patiently for the reviews from the rest of you out there.

PS....Still looking for the instructions to contribute to the site.
I hear what you are saying.....that doesn't mean I agree with you....Just that I am nodding my head to placate you and silence your futile attempts to win the argument.

Sorry, might be missing something, but... huh?

Anyway... I am pretty sure there are templates for the HPC's on Zeke's site at www.locksportarchives.com (login and password have been widely published here). Not sure about the Majestics tho. Have a look.

Cheers!

The set i have have "intial" printed on them and look similar to the majestic except there is 30 in the set.I dont know where they originally came from as i got them 2nd hand. They work well but it is a time consuming process as you need to work through both sides on each end which makes for 120 try outs. When they pop a lock they literally work as though it was opened with a key. Use a tension wrench when using them as they are only fragile.
Is that ok "buddy" (joke)

ok, so they are rockers...I assure you that you can rake with them...as the only way that I even know about them is a friend of mine that used them to rake....YES RAKE!!!!!!......the buffalo high security lock......(some people have to come off so condecending.....does it make you feel good?)
Regardless of how you want to classify them....I just want to know how well they work on a variety of locks.....I have seen them work...I know that they do...but I want to know what they are good for, what they aren't....are they quicker (than the high tech) or what...I just want a side by side comparison, with out the sarcastic "buddy" or "sport"...thanx for anyone who reads this and decides to be a civil person...and not a "flame magnet"....because I have some choice things to say right now....................Maybe I am taking it the wrong way...if so that I am sorry, if not...then FUQ....LOL.....
PS.... A rake is any pick that you can use with an "in and out" motion...there for......a diamond...or a hook..could be considered a rake......as well as the "rocker" if used in a raking manor....can be a rake.

Knows-Picker,

The above quote with the type of content I highlighted in red will not be tolerated. You find SFGOON's post to be a personal attack? If so then PM him and discuss it there. His statement could be interpreted in either a good way (hey buddy), or as you are looking at it. That is the problem with communicating through words only on the net, it is easy to have misunderstandings in what was actually intended. Your response however is plainly an attack!
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

You're gonna have a heck of a time reproducing the Majestics, they're complicated, wheras you could almost bend metal into the HPC syle rockers.

Personally, I would go with the high-techs myself. If not for price alone, but because it's one of the few names I'm familiar with here.

PS. You type like a girl. Stop with the '...' dot dot dot. Use your Enter Key after every 4 or 5 sentences. These are called Paragraphs.

I also agree with the above sentiments. You are coming off as a bratty child. If asked to guess, I'd say you're 12~15 and your parents make 250K a year, but your mom divorced your dad when you were 6 or 8, and you haven't seen him since.
