Pad Locks

Postby SilverIce85 » 28 Jan 2006 11:31

Hey, still a newbie here. I went out to walmart the other day and bought a few different padlocks to practice with. All of the lock claimed that they had at least some level of pick resistence. I was able to get one open in about fifteen minutes. Another one in about twenty. I can't get the third at all, and now that I go back and try to open the first two I'm really having problems. Is there something specific about picking padlocks that I need to know about?

the question is really 'what YOU can tell us about them'...

Some names, some photos, some description....

They differ by model and manufacturer, and it would be considerate perhaps of you, to 'help us to help you'.

wow, that's one thing i've noticed about this forum, almost all replies are condescending, a simple, 'hey, what are the names of the locks and could you get some pics' would work and not make people feel like they're being talked down to

Hey That is not fair! I got patient answers to my many, never ending questions on this forum! And people were always friendly (except for my first post when I didn't know the ethics of lockpicking). LP101 is a treasure with all of its members!

You are asking advise about padlocks, and not satisfied with the answer... What would you say if I asked you a question about how to prepare a meal? ... "What food do you want to prepare?" is an inevitable answer. What is condescending about this?

People use condescending attitudes only when someone asks a question that has already answered a billion times. By the way, nobody has to help you! You are asking them for help so there is no reason for you not to be respectful (Even if you can't have an answer to your question).

Regards...
