Easy idea for my torque wrench..

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Easy idea for my torque wrench..

Postby WDPaladin » 27 Feb 2006 22:20

Just to get this out there, I am just starting out in this.. After seeing a pair of tweezers sitting on the table the other day, it came to me. The contoured handle, the thin but flat tips, it seemed alright. I took a pair and snapped it into two sepperate pieces and after some filing of the tips it made for a great torque tool. Heres some pics..

Hope this helps, any comments?

Looks funky, but might need thinning...

Scores Mcguyverism points...

Pretty cool.

Well thanks! It works great on my Kwikset "practice" deadbolt I've been plaing with. Anyway, until my Southord set comes, this is what I got.

Its wacky, crazy, and unheard of..............................I like it

I know some1 who used a cautering pin.(spelled wrong of course)
It seems rather strong and should last a good long time.

Thank ya. Even now after receiving my SouthOrd 5 piece, I've decided that I'm keeping this for heavier locks, it now resides in the case with the other 'real' tools. I got another great tool for a ultra low profile pick, look for another post when I get pictures of it.
