Yepp, i have bought a little "Tri-Circle 263". I know, this isn´t a good lock to start pickpracticing with, but but, a m8 of me had it, and I got it cheap, and Im poor, so what to do?
Is it any chanse for a noob to pick this things?
I also bought an ugly anonym brass padlock 40 mm, hope that is easier??
Yeah yeah, if you know how to pick the Tricircle, tell me, if you think that both of them is to hard for me, then, I gonna cry.

I got a deadbolt cylinder for £2 on Ebay... surely this is less than what you payed for the Tricircle.
As it stands the Tricircle 265 has mushroom pins - confirmed, but I don't know if the 263 follows allong the same lines.
If you find you pick it, and the plug turns a bit then stops, and the pins are unmovable, then it has security pins. Use less tension, and see if it still happens, keep reducing the tension untill it stops... this is the right tensin to use, and will allow you to avoid the security pins.
I presume you've read the MIT guide?
If not then feel free to look in the FAQ section to find the MIT guide to lockpicking (it's free)
If you want to you can find a guide to dissasemble your padlock in the 'Locks' section... you can reduce the number of pins inside, and work your way up.
In all honesty it's not a good lock to start on, but it's really your choice.
Best of luck.

Thanks m8!
No, I also heard about the mushroom pins. But I havent feeled like IT should be that, but on the other hand. I never have picked a lock, so what to compare with?..
Since I am from sweden, it is possible to send the deadbolt cylinder to me? Then, I sure will buy it, must I buy it on Ebay?
Since I haven´t paypal..
I can send you the money, and after you got them, you can send me the stuff..
Yepp, the Mit is read, and other guides too.
But, I haven´t found this guide to dissasemble your padlock in the 'Locks' section.. I just find to dissasemble deadbolts?
I think I must search a bit again, I´ll try, otherwise, some of the tohers will tell me to UTFSE...
Thanks for the help anyway!

Hmm... Well I could send you the lock, but you'll be able to buy one yourself at a local hardware shop...
It should look something like this:
Guide to make it repinnable... Please don't do this unless you have a piece of plastic, or something big enough to replace the cap - the modification is pointless if the springs are free to jump out of the cylinder....

Hope this helps... somewhat.

Thanks a lot for the beuty guide! I will try it out, maybe not with my tricirkle lock, but with a bigger rubbish one
In the fact that I am very bad at chose good locks, as you have seen with this tricirkle, I prefer to buy yours if you recommend it and think that it is a good practicinglock..
I can PM you about how to make with the money, if you recommend me to buy it.
Thanks again for the guide!

The one on the picture has been in my posession, and is the twin of a lock that i have just succeeded in picking.
It is not a good practicing lock for beginners, it has spool pins and takes an unnatural load of tensioning.
I'm sure that someone here has a decent beginners lock though.

Hmm, ok jordyh, i belive you
Then, I just shall find that "someone" you talk about, any clue?
IF it is a common lock, you maybe just can post the name on it, and I will buy it myself

Tried any hardware store yet?
Look for a Eurocylinder (this is not a brand, but a kind of lock), looking similar to the one Illusion showed you.
They should sell them somewhere, surely Sweden sells locks somewhere.
And remember: Cheaper is easier, you get what you pay for.
Good luck.

The big ones 265-264. are the most common I see, and they do look quite chunky compared to others of similar price...
They're pretty cheap, and I see them in most shops.

I've actually never seen one in a store, though I do see them in use. I just dunno where they come from. Do contractors use them as cheap bulk?

They can't be missed in Dutch retail, for one.
They dominate the padlocks over here with a good 70 % or so.
They can be shimmed.
They are horrible to pick.
My 2 cents on tricircles.

I have a Tri-Circle 264 padlock and it is the easiest out of 8 padlocks I have to open.
The keyway has a lot of movement in it and it literally falls open when I insert a snake or a diamond pick, although quite a lot of tension is required, it is also very simple to shim as there is plenty of room around the shackle.
I don't know if you can bypass it though i've been trying with no success maybe you can't.

And teh TRICIRKLE 264 don´t have any mushroompins?
Hmm, my 263 have very little movement, maybe I just have the wrong pickset.. I shall look around, I too have tried to bypass it, but with no success, on the other hand, i don´t think I should fix to bypass a lock on a diary..
