At my work, we use 2 programs for searching for codes and decoding automotive and residential keys. The programs are InstaCode (New Zealand created) and Silca Key programs.
Anybody else use these?

Also, we primarily use silca keyblanks, i was wondering other locksmiths use.

We too, use Instacode. And, coincidentally, a Silca key conversion program. We also have a couple of decades worth of key blank conversion books as well. 
What locksmiths do you work at? 
Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

The Instacode is a computer program that has a variety of cuts and pinning for various key systems and cars. It can cut keys to code and has a large range of auto keys from various models throughout the years. It can also be hooked up to key cutting machine (such as the Quattrocode we use in our workshop).
The Silca Key Conversion program is an electronic key blank conversion guide. It will convert Silca keys to Ilco and Orion and so on and so forth. It can also be integrated into the business' ordering system and suppliers system to order key blanks at the touch of a button.
Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....

Wow! Sounds like some pretty cool software... I can only imagine that it is probably "spendy." What kind of cost is involved with these software packages?

The complete version of the Instacode 2006 software costs $995.00 and is a per-computer license, not a site license. It's a bit pricey, but it is excellent software.
