us or european: please help !!

European hardware -lever locks, profile cylinders specific for European locks. European lock picks and European locks.

i would like to buy a pick set or jacknife, and i don't know what type of tools:
standard or european?
i think the "standard" are more fine than european.
i live in france for the moment and go in swiss and maroc sometimes.

please, help me.

ps: i don't want to make another home tools, i have to many problemes with trempering.

Actually, "European" picks are smaller ('more fine') than the standard versions.
Because European lock manufacturers typically use keyways that require smaller picks than typical locks from U.S. manufacturers.

So I guess it's only natural to buy the "European" picks for your European locks.
