Vintage lock picking

Postby LockNewbie21 » 13 May 2006 23:24

Okay so i love lockpicking.. also love the midde and dark ages, so my new hobby is collecting vintage locks, anyone else have this hobby to? i have seen some neat locks on ebay i am going to purchase, i put this in the forum becuase i am going to try and pick them. Yea so some old middle age movies inspired it, but there neat little buggers, i also read on the history of these locks and security features they added, my favorite was the mechanism that if you picked it and messed up it would cut off your finger. I dont know if this is true, but man could you imagine a lockies job with a lockout call with a lock that has this one it? Anyway just thought i would post my new hobby to see if anybody else does it to. I choose the title becuase i would like to post some pictures of locks i am going to buy and some i will aquire.
