i just started picking today, got a stathord 10 piece kit and a lock. i just need to know about hte pins. when im picking should the pins i see in the lock stick when i push them up because thats what they are doing, or should the fall back down? can someone help?

Just to clarify......with absolutely no springiness. They fall down under their own weight due to gravity.
