I have several versions of the Locksmith CD so I feel comfortable making a comment.
The free demo video clips are worse technical quality than some of the material on the paid CD. That said, the man's technique is very rough and he does not teach lockpicking very well.
Any one who learns to pick locks with this CD, learns not so much from watching this CD, but in spite of seeing it.
The included tools are a joke. John Falle or Ron Reed (world professional pickers) might get them to work ....... I pity any newbie learning with them. To be fair they do work, but they require more skill that the average newbie will have. Why make things harder when learning.
Lockpicking for the New Millenium is much better for newbies to learn
from, even with its flaws.
As for the tubular pick, do not expect much. Its nothing like the ones South Ord sell or the pro's use. Once again in the hands of experts, who can overcome the weaknesses, it will work. However this is being sold to beginers who will probably feel ripped off.
The info is out there on the net, showing how to make tubular picks that at least give you some hope of working.
You can see for yourself at
http://www.idealcreations.net/ls03.htm that the tubular pick is a bad joke. Once again, like using paperclips and the joke of a pick set they supply.... the tubular pick will work IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF SKILL AND PRACTICE.
This is an easy product for kids and beginers to get hold of. It was one of the first video cd's that demonstrated lockpicking, available to the general public. Seeing it done in a video can help some people. Be prepared to refine any technique that this guy teaches you.
Unfortunately this guy seems to know more about marketing than teaching lockpicking.
Oh yeah .....
http://www.irvineunderground.org/blackw ... -v2.1.html has a review of an older version that shows the quality of this guys picks.
