There is a big differance in the models but from my own reserch this is basically the strength and speed of the motor, some think and i agree that the batteries also play a big part,

Almost all of them have the same parts inside so it may be wroth buying cheap and then replacing the motor and batteries,

They do work and work quite well for a locksmith, there is no need at all for a hobby picker to have one,

They arent magic tools and do need some practice,

thx for the feed back. I knew the batteries were important. I realize there is no reason for a hobbiest to have one, but since when would that stop a gadget junkie ;)

For sure, if you have the money and want to play grab one but at least aim for the HPC one imho unless your up to a bit of modding,

My wife gets so mad at me some times, she just doesn't understand. Like the time I spent $450 for a Professional Series Safe line telephone analyzer and tap deactivator, no sense of adventure the poor girl. Or the time I spent close to a $1000 for a really neat all band (no gaps) video & radio tranceiver. Gesh, you would think she would understand THAT one, but noooooo!

And software.. don't get me started, I'm a software junkie too! Thankfully some times I can afford to be a lil crazy, depends on the commissions earned for the month. I always stay in budget, and all the bills get paid too ;)
